Ariel Gail

Professor Gail S. Goodman is Distinguished Professor of Psychology and director of the Center for Public Policy Research at the University of California Davis. Her name is well-known for her pioneering modern research of children's memory as eyewitnesses and also the application of child victims in court settings. Prof. Goodman has published widely, received many grants and received several international and national awards. She has provided advice on policy and research for numerous government agencies and departments around the globe. She is a consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center - formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center - of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She was a part of numerous professional organizations, which include the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. (Divisions of Experimental Psychology, Developmental Psychology Society for Children and Families Policies and Practice American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56) Prof. Goodman is a fellow of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children and also the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She has served as president of 3 divisions (Division Society for Policy on Child and Family and Practice Division, American Psychology Law Society as well as Division Developmental Psychology) and one section (Child Maltreatment) of the American Psychological Association.
